Description This article describes available speed configuration options for numbered ports in FortiGate 90/91G and 120/12G in different firmware versions.
Scope FortiGate v7.2.
Solution

In v7.2.11, v7.4.7, and earlier, FortiGate-90G/91G and 120G/121G numbered RJ45 ports such as 'port1', 'port8' (but not 'x1') have the following configurable speed options.

 

FortiGate-121G # config system interface

FortiGate-121G (interface) # edit port2

FortiGate-121G (port2) # set speed ?

auto Automatically adjust speed.
100full 100M full-duplex.

 

In v7.6.1 and later, additional speed configuration options are available for the numbered RJ45 ports.

These additional options are also scheduled for inclusion in v7.2.12 and v7.4.8 with Issue ID#1056580. Other port types such as wan1 or x1 have different speed options and are not affected by this change.
