Description

This article describes that after upgrading firmware from 7.2.6 to 7.2.8 or 7.4.x version, the WAN interface of FortiGate 100F/101F will not show the option to set speed with only the auto option left in the list.

The other 1G copper interface will only show auto and 100full.

Scope

FortiOS, FortiGate 100F/101F.

Solution

Before upgrading to 7.2.6 or older firmware versions:

 

FG101F-1 (wan1) # set speed

auto        Automatically adjust speed.

10full      10M full-duplex.

10half      10M half-duplex.

100full     100M full-duplex.

100half     100M half-duplex.

1000full    1000M full-duplex.

 

FG101F-1 (port1) # set speed

auto        Automatically adjust speed.

10full      10M full-duplex.

10half      10M half-duplex.

100full     100M full-duplex.

100half     100M half-duplex.

1000full    1000M full-duplex.

 

After upgrading to 7.2.8 or 7.4.x:

 

FG101F-1 (port1) # set speed

auto       Automatically adjust speed.

100full    100M full-duplex.

 

FG101F-1 (wan1) # set speed

auto    Automatically adjust speed.

 

This issue has been fixed in the latest 7.2.9 firmware and 7.4.5 firmware.
