Description This article describes an issue where the FortiAP registration status is shown incorrectly as 'not registered' under System -> Firmware & Registration and Security Fabric -> Fabric Connectors after the upgrade.
Scope FortiOS v7.4.5, v7.4.6, v7.4.7, v7.4.8, v7.4.9.
Solution

After upgrading to the above-mentioned versions, FortiAP registration status is displayed incorrectly as 'not registered'. The AP’s functionality is unaffected, and it continues to pass traffic for all wireless users.

FortiAP will temporarily display the correct registered status when 'Refresh Registration' is selected;

However, after reloading the GUI page, the status reverts to 'Not Registered.'

This issue has been resolved in v7.4.10 (scheduled to be released in January 2026). These timelines for firmware release are estimated and may be subject to change.
