While configuring the IPV4 and IPV6 consolidated policy at FortiGate, the following error may occur.

Where the test in the destination field is the IPV6 address object.

To make both IPV4 and IPV6 policies, both source and destination addresses should be configured for both types of address. It is not possible to make the source address IPV4 and destination IPV6 or vice versa.

The consolidated policy can be configured through the CLI: Consolidated IPv4 and IPv6 policy configuration

Once the Policy is configured from CLI, it will show in GUI.

Note:

To route the IPV6 traffic network interface must be configured for the IPV6 address.
