Description

This article describes how to display more log lines through CLI.

Scope

FortiOS.

Solution

In order to view logs on CLI, run the following command:

execute log display

However, the logs shown are usually restricted to only 10 lines.

If it is needed to view more lines or query more lines on CLI the following command can be set:

execute log filter view-lines <number> -> Number of lines to view (5 - 1000).

Choose the desired number between 5-1000 viewed lines.
