Technical Tip: Create an IPSec Tunnel for v7.6 using the IPsec Tunnel wizard

Description This article describes how to create an IPSec Tunnel for v7.6 using the IPsec Tunnel wizard.
Scope FortiGate v7.6.X.
Solution

Starting from v7.6 IPSec Tunnel configuration wizard design has changed:

  1. To configure the Site-to-Site tunnel, select the Site-to-Site template.

  1. Choose the remote device type and add Remote Site Information:

  1. Configure authentication and select transport method: UDP/ Auto / TCP encapsulation.

Note:

The default is 'Auto': It will reattempt IKE negotiation with TCP encapsulation before negotiation timeout.
