Technical Tip: Create an IPSec Tunnel for v7.6 using the IPsec Tunnel wizard

Description This article describes how to create an IPSec Tunnel for v7.6 using the IPsec Tunnel wizard.
Scope FortiGate v7.6.X.
Solution

Starting from v7.6 IPSec Tunnel configuration wizard design has changed:

  1. To configure the Site to Site tunnel, Select the Site to Site template.

  1. Choose remote device type and add Remote Site Information:

  1. Configure authentication and select transport method: UDP/ Auto / TCP encapsulation.

Note:

Default is 'Auto': It will reattempt IKE negotiation with TCP encapsulation before negotiation timeout.
