Technical Tip: Configuring LDAP users as the Guest account sponsor

Description This article describes how to configure the LDAP users as the Guest account provisioning sponsors.
Scope FortiGate v6.4, v7.0, v7.2., v7.4, v7.6.
Solution
  1. Creating an LDAP Server.

  1. Creating a user group using the configured LDAP server.

  1.  Configure the Guest Group as per the user's requirement.

  1. Creating Guest Sponsor access to use the LDAP group.

When the LDAP user is a part of the guest provisioning group then login to the FortiGate can be done.
