Scope | FortiGate v7.2.X, v7.4.X. |
Solution |
FortiGate enables the configuration of a DNS database server. Below are the available commands for managing the DNS database server: config system dns-database
The DNS database includes a parameter called 'preference', which is applicable only when the DNS entry type is MX (Mail Exchange).
GUI configuration:
CLI configuration:
config system dns-database edit <name> config dns-entry edit <id> set type MX set preference {integer} next end
The 'preference' parameter in MX (Mail Exchange) records is used to specify the priority of mail servers for handling email delivery.
