Solution |
Starting from v7.4, the configuration of Admin credentials should strictly follow the following format:

If the FortiGate Firmware is v7.2 and has a Local Administrator Credential that does not follow the format mentioned above, this format of Local Administrator Credential will be allowed to be inherited and will not change if the FortiGate is upgraded to v7.4 and v7.6.
For testing purposes, -test.num1 Local Administrator was created on v7.2.11:
Screenshots below will show that the -test.num1 Local Administrator was inherited by v7.4.8 and v7.6.3 after the firmware upgrade.
