Technical Tip: Automatically Syncing / Updating the device hostname with Fortinet portal

Description	This article describes how to sync or update the device hostname across FortiGate, FortiGate-Cloud, and Fortinet portals to achieve information consistency.
Scope	FortiGate, FortiGate-Cloud.
Solution	The option is available on the FortiCloud as below illustration: Open the FortiCloud portal, look for the respective FortiGate in the list, and under the Action tab -> Select 'Rename'. After selecting 'Rename', it will ask for the Hostname to use on this device across platforms. Select 'Update', and the hostname will be synced across all the platforms including appliance/VM and the cloud portals.
