Description

 

This article describes how to add a new WAN interface to the existing SD-WAN configuration.

FortiGate.


Solution

 

Import the new WAN interface with IP details to configure.

  1. From the GUI go to Network -> Interface and select 'Edit'.
  2. Select the interface settings as desired
  3. Go then to Network -> SD-WAN -> SD-WAN Interface Members and select 'Create New' or edit the default 'virtual-wan-link'.
  4. Select the interface members under '+' and later select 'Create'.
  5. Select then the physical interface, SD-WAN zone, gateway, and other options. and 'OK'.
  6. If the interface to use is not listed because it is currently in use or referenced in other configurations, select 'Interfaces', then select the desired physical interface, and then select the option in the top menu called 'Integrate interfaces'.
  7. Select where to migrate the physical interface.
  8. Select the SD-WAN zone.
  9. Review the changes, deletions, and replacements and apply.
