Description This article identifies the problem of a vcluster with two primary roles for the configured VDOMs on a master FortiGate under the HA page in AP HA cluster configuration.
Scope FortiGate FortiOS 7.2.11.
Solution

FortiGate with FortiOS 7.2.11 firmware shows a vcluster, more specifically vcluster 2, with two primary roles for the configured VDOMs under HA cluster page ignoring VDOMs priority values as follows:

vcluster-7.2.11.png

Using the CLI command get system ha status it shows the correct roles for the configured VDOMs as follows:

vcluster-7.2.11-cli.png

This is a known issue in the GUI, not in the CLI, and it is not available in FortiOS 7.4.x and 7.6.x firmware versions as per the internal resources of known issues.

The issue was confirmed working on FortiOS 7.4.8 firmware as follows:

In FortiOS 7.4.8 the roles VDOMS in both vclusters work as expected accounting for priority values in both the FortiGate GUI and in the CLI.
