A new naming convention applies to the 5140 NEBS RoHS version that is currently being shipped. This change allows a more specific identification when referring to 5001B/5003B support for the 5140 chassis specifications in the product datasheet.
The 5140-Rev 2 is not a product but classified as a "Rev-2 Chassis" to allow easy identification. The 5140-Rev 2 supports both 5001B and 5003B.
The serial number identifies the Rev2 chassis. Four formats are available specifying differences on the chassis:
- FG51403S0900000X
- FG51403S090010XX
- FG51403S090020XX
- FG51403S1003XXXX
For RMA purposes it is necessary to check the Identification Sticker for HWID and Backplane information. The chassis id information is retrievable from the CLI of the unit.
This hardware has been shipping since November 2009.
