DescriptionFortiGate-VM licenses are not tied to any specific platform, they are mobile and can be used on any supported virtualization or Cloud platform.
For example, a FG-VM license purchased for a VMware environment could still be used if moving to KVM or even running in AWS.
The only restriction is that the license cannot be used on both at the same time.
If using a VM license in a cloud instance remember to deploy a instance size supported by the license.
