Configuring security inspection with AWS Gateway Load Balancer

This describes two ways to use AWS Gateway Load Balancer (GWLB) for security checks in your network:

North-south inspection: This inspects traffic entering your virtual private cloud (VPC) from the internet.

• North-south security inspection to customer VPC

East-west inspection: This inspects traffic flowing between two separate VPCs within your AWS account.

• East-west security inspection between two customer VPCs
