Technical Tip: FortiGate Cloud upgrade cycle

Description	This article describes the FortiGate Cloud version and upgrade cycle.
Scope	FortiGate Cloud.
Solution	FortiGate Cloud is upgraded on a quarterly basis. Under normal circumstances, upgrades are performed in January, April, July, and October. Minor bug fixes and improvements are not limited to these months, and patch version upgrades are applied as needed. The current FortiGate Cloud version and build can be confirmed by logging in to the portal and hovering the mouse pointer over the bottom of the screen. In the displayed image, the version is shown as 25.3, which represents the third quarter version of the year 2025. For example, if an upgrade is performed in January 2026, the version is expected to be 26.1. Note: Japan region. Only the Japan region has one earlier version applied compared to the standard upgrade cycle described above. Example: During the fourth quarter of 2025, version 25.3 is in use.
