Description | This article describes a known-issue with the Remote Access function for FortiGates managed by FortiGate Cloud v24.3. |
Scope | FortiGate, FortiGate Cloud v24.3. |
Solution |
Normally, administrators can use the Remote Access feature on FortiGate Cloud to access the admin Web GUI of their managed FortiGates. The Remote Access feature can be used by either hovering over a FortiGate entry or by right-clicking on the FortiGate entry in the Assets page. Once selected, the FortiGate's login page will be displayed (accessible through FortiGate Cloud via a secure management tunnel to the FortiGate), and the administrator can sign in and manage the FortiGate from there (read-write access with FortiGate Cloud Subscription, or read-only if FortiGate does not have a subscription).
However, there is a known-issue where this login page will fail to load, resulting in a blank white page being shown with no access available to the FortiGate:
This issue is currently under investigation by the FortiGate Cloud development team and is being tracked via Issue #1073623. A solution is in the works and is tentatively targeting FortiGate Cloud v24.4.
Workaround: To workaround this issue, go to the FortiGate Cloud Assets page, locate the Action column of the affected FortiGate entry (on the right-hand side of the page by default), select the gear/settings icon, and select Sync Device Status. This will temporarily resolve the issue and will restore Remote Access functionality to the FortiGate.
Another situation with a white screen issue is explained in the article below (if a white screen appears without any error, this means that the device is not running the appropriate firmware OS version): |
