Description

This article describes the Command Warning: NO set/unset on constant table entry "le-switch" message in FortiExtender CLI.

Scope All FortiExtender Models
Solution
  1. The LAN Extension for the FortiExtender models can be configured using the following document:

FortiGate 7.0.0 New Features - LAN Extension Mode.

  1. When attempting to modify the 'le-switch' interface in versions 7.4.x, refer to the documentation here:

FortiExtender 7.4.4 Admin Guide - FortiGate Managed.

Upon trying to edit the 'le-switch' interface, the following error may occur:

FX (switch-interface) # show
config system switch-interface
    edit le-switch
        set members le-agg-link lan
        set stp disable
    next
end

FX (switch-interface) # edit le-switch
Command Warning: NO set/unset on constant table entry "le-switch"

  1. The 'le-switch' system switch interface output is a constant instance and cannot be modified via CLI.

  2. The 'le-switch' is reserved and created by FortiGate. During LAN extension formation, users must choose an alternative name (e.g. 'le-switch1') when creating a new switch interface under config system switch-interface.

Note: Any configured switch-interface settings will be removed after the next sync with FortiGate. This means a reboot or WAN reconnection will cause the settings to disappear.
