Description
This article describes how to configure SIM-PIN for both SIM1 and SIM2 on FortiExtender managed by FortiGate.
Scope
If SIM-PIN is not configured on FortiExtender then LTE connection is not working.
1) For better FortiExtender stability, upgrade FortiExtender to latest firmware v4.2.x or v7.x version.
2) When FortiExtender is managed by FortiGate and if SIM-PIN is configured for both SIM1 and SIM2 directly on FortiExtender CLI, then FortiGate overwrites the config on FortiExtender upon FortiExtender reboot and hence FortiExtender loses LTE connection. Therefore, when FortiExtender is managed by FortiGate, SIM-PIN is configured on FortiGate GUI.
Solution
1) Go to Network -> FortiExtender and configure settings as shown below:
