Description This article describes how to run both FortiClient Malware features and FortiEDR on the same machine.
Scope Windows Collector
Solution

FortiEDR is fully integrated with Windows Security Center and has been certified by Microsoft as an anti-virus and threat protection application.

When FortiClient is installed with Malware features, Windows Security Center warns 'FortiClient is snoozed.' because FortiEDR is also registered.

In order to register FortiClient to the Windows Security center properly, the option 'Register Collectors to Windows Security Center' needs to be disabled in the FortiEDR Central Manager console (ADMINISTRATION -> TOOLS).

Once the option is disabled, the machine needs to restart to update the FortiClient status in Windows Security Center. \

This will allow running both FortiClient Malware features and FortiEDR on the same machine.
