It may not be possible to install FortiEDR, or the Collector may stay degraded if Microsoft KB KB914882 is not installed on Windows XP and does not have mini filter capabilities enabled.
To know if there are Minifilters enabled, open CMD as administrator and try to run fltmc.
Example:
If the XP devices are missing mini filter (File Manager) capabilities.
It can be added by installing KB914882. Microsoft no longer offers these KB files for download, as Windows XP is end of life and no longer supported by Microsoft. Some websites still offer the KB installation file for download. Fortinet recommends only downloading these files from trusted and reputable websites. |
