Description

This article describes about an issue when FortiDDoS is upgraded to 5.5.1 or 5.6.1v.

FortiDDoS B/E series firmware upgrade to 5.5.1 or 5.6.1 from Releases below 5.5.1 may reset the admin password to null (no password like the initial system login). 

Scope FortiDDoS v5.5.1, v5.6.1
Solution

After upgrade if login is not successful with the regular password use admin with no password to login.

 

 Users may be requested to change the password as is done with first login on a new system and should change the password whether requested or not.

 

No other configuration is affected including other admin users.
