Description This article describes how to process if the following email is received for FortiLan: 'Your FortiLAN Cloud account access points will be removed (G)'.
Scope

FortiLan Cloud

Solution

Users may receive the below email although no devices are deployed in the FortiLan account:' Your FortiLAN Cloud account access points will be removed (G)The following devices were found to be disassociated from the account and will be removed from FortiLANCloud in 24 hours. You may ignore this email alert if this is expected. Please reach out to Fortinet support team if you notice any discrepancies.'

Follow these steps:

  1. Get the list of de-commissioned devices for the account from FortiCare. (https://support.fortinet.com).
  2. Un-deploy each device in the above list by the below steps:

A device can be un-deployed by accessing the Portal page via the Admin Controller:

  • Open Portal Page from Admin Controller.
  • Go to Devices -> Deployed Devices.
  • Find out the network in which the device is deployed.
  • Go back to the main Portal dashboard.
  • Select the target network in the Networks table.
  • Go Wireless -> Access Points -> Edit View.
  • Select the FortiAP and un-deploy it using ‘AP Actions’

After the devices have been un-deployed, go back to the Portal page -> Devices -> Inventory Devices and remove the FortiAPs that were un-deployed in the previous step.
