This article describes how to understand the number of devices connected to FortiManager Cloud.
Scope
FortiManager Cloud.
Solution
- The FortiManager Cloud page will display the Service Description and the number of devices.
It describes the total number of device-level subscriptions and account-level subscriptions registered into the same account.
Example:
account level subscription : 10 seats = 10 devices/VDOMs
device level subscription : 1 device
A total of 11 devices are registered into this account.
- Number of device/Device Connection Status in FortiManager Cloud page.
It describes a total of 3 devices connected in (# of Device) and shows 2 of the devices are down. The below image describes the device status in Device Manager.
- License information in System Settings -> Dashboard -> License Information.
It describes a total of 5 devices connected and used Account Subscription (5/100) which includes VDOM. Check the license count document for a better understanding.
FortiGate that does not have/expired device-level subscriptions will connect using account-level subscriptions if the quota is available and 1 device will connect to FortiManager Cloud using device-level subscriptions. It can be checked on the support portal for the device itself.
