Description This article describes the expected behavior observed in FortiClient EMS versions 7.4, where the Uptime in the System Information GUI differs from the Operating System.
Scope FortiClient EMS On-Premises versions 7.4.
Solution

This Uptime refers to Apache as one of the services managed by EMS. A periodic log rotation mechanism restarts this process once a day, typically at 00:00 UTC, to initiate writing to new log files. This is normal and does not affect platform operation.

Validation steps:

  1. Check the running EMS services and their uptime with the following command:

/opt/forticlientems/bin/emscli service get --all

  1. Confirm system uptime to verify no OS-level reboot occurred with the following command:

who -b

This log rotation behavior is expected and does not require user intervention.
