Description This article explains how to deal with the FortiClient installer is not available in deployment package console
Scope EMS v7.0 and v7.2.
Solution

Sometimes the released FortiClient installer is not showing available in EMS as shown in the below:

  1. Go to the EMS actual server, and check if the C drive has enough disk space (40GB of free disk space is recommended).
  2. Go to the actual Windows server, open a CMD command prompt with admin right, and run the below command:

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Fortinet\FortiClientEMS
FcmUpdateDaemon.exe –e

This command checks the connection between EMS and FortiGuard and it shows if there are any errors. If the connection is healthy the below 'Update Success' message should display.

Another setting is to go to under EMS -> System settings -> FortiGuard services, untick [enable SSL], set the port to 80, and select 'Save'.

Wait for 15 minutes or so for EMS to retrieve updates from the FortiGuard server (This was a bug with EMS v7.2.4 and before which is fixed in v7.2.5 onwards).
