In the event of any issues encountered during AV signature updates, follow the steps outlined below, which may assist in troubleshooting.
Execute two commands from the C:\Program Files\Fortinet\FortiClient> folder
update_task.exe -s fd_01 > C:\update.txt update_task.exe -d > C:\update2.txt

For testing purposes only (not recommended), disable the 'Enable SSL' option under 'EMS -> System Settings -> FortiGuard Services' and attempt the process again to observe any changes.
