Scope FortiClient EMS/EMS Cloud.
Solution

This issue typically happens when an incorrect API key is configured in the AD connector setup.

To create an API key, access to FortiClient EMS console -> Administration -> Authentication Servers and in the top right section, select 'Connectors'.

In the top right section, select API keys -> Connector API Keys -> Add. Give a meaningful name as an Alias for the connector and select 'Add'.

Create Remote Connector API Key.png

Copy the key value and insert the API key value in the AD connector's configuration.
