This pop-up message may appear in the below scenario:

  1. Internet Explorer application is installed.
  2. In Microsoft Edge, [Internet Explorer Mode] is enabled.

To resolve this, perform one of the following:

  • Uninstall the Internet Explorer application. Internet Explorer was already deprecated in 2022 and replaced by Microsoft Edge.
  • Disable [Internet Explorer Mode] in Microsoft Edge:1. Open Microsoft Edge, open the Settings page.2. Go to Default browser -> Internet Explorer compatibility -> Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) -> set to Don't Allow -> Restart.

  1. Relaunch Microsoft Edge and close it. The pop-up message will no longer prompt after completing one of the above solutions.
