Description This article describes the reason for seeing the message 'unsupported' where an IPsec VPN tunnel configuration would be located after upgrading to FortiClient 7.4.4.
Scope FortiClient 7.4.4 and above
Solution

Instead of the expected IPSEC Tunnel configuration, the following warning is noticed when the FortiClient endpoint is updated to FortiClient 7.4.4 or above from any FortiClient version below 7.4.4:

fortinet_error_vpn.jpg
The cause of the message 'Unsupported' is the deprecation of IKE version 1 in FortiClient 7.4.4 and above. Previously existing IPsec tunnel profile configurations utilizing IKEv1 will now show as 'Unsupported' as a result.

To rectify the issue , either downgrade the FortiClient to an earlier version or adjust the IPsec configuration to use IKE version 2 in the FortiGate. Refer to below article for configuration examples:

Technical Tip: How to configure IKE version 1 or 2 in IPsec VPN FortiGate
