Description This article describes how to troubleshoot Azure AD synchronization on EMS if it gets stuck at 1%.
Scope EMS on-premises AZURE AD synchronization.
Solution

If Azure AD synchronization in EMS is stuck at 1% as shown below:

To resolve the issue:

 

  • Back up the EMS database. Consider performing a full server backup or taking a VM snapshot if possible.
  • Log in to the server where the EMS is running and then run ‘Windows Services’.
  • Stop the following services in sequence.

  • After the services have stopped, restart the EMS ‘Monitoring’ service, and then all other EMS-related services will be triggered.

  • After restarting all services, check the AD synchronization again.
