This article describes how to troubleshoot 'EMS REST API is disabled' connection status.

Solution

In FortiClient EMS, go to System Settings -> Server -> Shared Settings, and enable Remote HTTPS access.

Under Custom hostname, configure both FortiGate IP address and FortiClient EMS IP address. [example: x.x.x.x,y.y.y.y].

Select 'Save' to confirm.
