Description This article describes the steps to take when a FortiClient Endpoint does not allow activation of the web filter module.
Scope EMS Cloud 7.2.5, Endpoint 7.2.5.
Solution
  • EMS shows Web Filter module active at Endpoint:

  • But FortiClient Endpoint shows Web filter as disabled:

web_filter_endpoint_disabled.jpg

  • The endpoint configuration HTML shows FortiProxy been disabled:

<fortiproxy>
<enabled>0</enabled>

  • Change it to 1: <enabled>1</enabled>

The endpoint will need to resync the configuration from the EMS Web Filter profile assigned.

In order to make the web filter work on the FortiClient endpoint, the FortiProxy setting must be enabled.
