Description This article describes how to install FortiClient on a Chromebook.
Scope FortiClient.
Solution

FortiClient (Android) supports installation on Google Chromebooks with limited functionality.

 

Currently, it supports SSL VPN, SSL VPN SAML with an external browser, and IPSec IKEv1 for remote access

 

  1. Enable Google Play Store (if not already enabled):
  • Go to Settings on the Chromebook.
  • Scroll down, find the Google Play Store section, and select Turn on.

 

  1. Install FortiClient VPN:

  • Open the Google Play Store.
  • Search for FortiClient VPN and select the first one.
  • Select Install.

  1. Configure the VPN:

  • Once installed, open the FortiClient VPN app and allow the permission.
  • Enter the VPN server details provided by your network administrator.
  • In the screenshots, configure IPSec IKE v1.
  • Enter the Server address i.e. remote gateway and pre-shared key:
