Solution:

  1. Create a backup file of the current FortiClient configuration: Backing up the full configuration file.

To back up the full configuration file:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under System, select Backup.
  3. Select the file destination.
  4. Enter a password to save the file in an encrypted format with a password.
  5. Select OK.

  1. Similarly, create a backup file of the FortiClient from which the profile will be imported.

  2. Open both the files with Notepad, as below:

In the left notepad file, there is profile 'LDAPS-FGT', and in the left notepad file, there is profile 'Imported-Profile'.

  1. Copy the configuration part from <connection> to </connections> (from the config file that is desired to be imported into the profile).
  2. Locate </connection> and in the next line, paste the configuration below the existing one.
  3. Save the config file and restore it in the FortiClient: Restoring the full configuration file.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Expand the System, and select Restore.
  3. Locate and select the file.
  4. If the configuration was protected with a password, a password text box displays. Enter the password used to encrypt the backup configuration file.
  5. Select OK.

  1. Profile has been imported successfully:
