Description This article describes how to uninstall FortiClient remotely by using CLI after v7.2.1.
Scope FortiClient.
Solution

If FortiClient/EMS is running v7.2.1 and above,  make sure the option 'Require Password to Disconnect From EMS' is disabled in the assigned endpoint profile before uninstalling FortiClient remotely. This option is located in EMS -> Endpoint profiles -> System settings.

Run the following command in the command prompt as the local administrator on the endpoint:

 

C:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe /quiet /norestart /uninstall {CA453742-0693-47F1-88AE-AE30C2A4B31F}

 

The above command uninstalls FortiClient from the target machine without a system reboot.

 

Note that {CA453742-0693-47F1-88AE-AE30C2A4B31F} refers to the FortiClient product code specific to the FortiClient version which can be found in the registry 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\'.
