Description This article describes how to migrate an EMS server on-premise to an EMS cloud instance.
Scope FortiClient.
Solution

Note that it is not possible to completely migrate the Data Base from an on-premise EMS server to an EMS cloud Server as it is not supported.

It is possible to import only the XML profile on EMS on the cloud if they were taking on a server running the same version as the EMS cloud instance.

It is only supported on migrating all DB on an EMS server on-premise to an EMS server on-premise (Both servers running the same version):

Migrating to another EMS instance

  1. Upgrade the EMS server on-premise to the same version running the new instance on the EMS cloud.
  • Take a backup or Snapshot (For this example, the EMS server on the premise was on v7.2.3 and upgraded to v7.2.4. Same as the EMS instance server on the Cloud).
