Technical Tip: How to get the offline installer for FortiClient VPN for Windows

Description
This article describes how to get an offline installer of the Forticlient VPN.

Users do not have to run the online installer on all the units again and again.

Can be used to reduce the data consumption of the organization.

Solution
Download the installer once and run it on windows machine.

Once the FortiClient is installed on the Windows machine, follow the below path to get the offline installer and check the temporary files in:

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp\FortiCLIENTVPN.exe

This is the file 'FortiCLIENTVPN.exe' generated by the online installer, which is the full setup.

Note:

The name of the file could vary a little bit depending upon FortiClient version.

Windows will show up 'Appdata' when show hidden files/folders in windows settings is enable.
