Description This article describes how to check and enable the 'None' invitation type if it's greyed out.
Scope FortiClient EMS v7.2, v7.4.
Solution

Sometimes, the invitation type 'None' is greyed out so by default it's set to type 'local' when created a new invitation code as shown below:

There are two causes of this type of issue:

  1. Enforce User Verification is enabled in EMS settings as shown in the below:

  1. Manage Multiple Customer Sites is enabled as shown in the below:

Either of the above can cause the 'None' type invitation code to be greyed out. This issue may cause the FortiClient endpoint can not connect with EMS via Zero Trust telemetry.
