Description This article describes how to change the administrator roles that cannot be modified directly through the FortiClient EMS Cloud GUI when the user is assigned the Super Administrator role.
Scope FortiClient EMS Cloud.
Solution

When a user is assigned Full Access in the Fortinet Support Portal, they are automatically assigned the Super Administrator role in FortiClient EMS Cloud. As per design, a user with the Super Administrator role cannot be modified from the FortiClient EMS Cloud interface.

To modify the role of an administrator user:

  1. Access the Fortinet Support Portal.

  2. Navigate to the user permissions section.

  4. Under product selection, select FortiClient EMS Cloud and any other required products.

  5. Save the changes.

After this configuration:

  • The user will appear as a Restricted Admin within the FortiClient EMS Cloud GUI.

  • The permissions can then be adjusted directly within the EMS console as needed.
