Description This article describes that EMS does not display the SSL VPN setting under the remote access profile after upgrade from version v7.0.x to v7.2.3 +.

Solution

When upgrading the EMS version from v7.0.x to v7.2.3 and later, it is possible to face the issue EMS does not display the SSL VPN setting under the Remote Access profile and only shows the IPSEC VPN setting.

And FortiClient endpoint will not receive the SSL VPN setting from EMS.

To resolve this, check the EMS features setting.

 

Log in to EMS -> System setting -> Features select -> Enabled (Tick on the box) for SSL VPN and Save.

Re-check the Remote Access profile, the SSL VPN setting should appear.

 The FortiClient endpoint will display the SSL VPN setting after telemetry is synced with EMS.

 

This is due to EMS v7.2.3 +, which gives prioritize to IPsec VPN:

Prioritize IPsec VPN and ZTNA for remote access over SSL VPN 7.2.3
