| Description | This article explains how to reduce the FortiClient profile sync interval in EMS to accelerate profile deployment during testing. |
| Scope | FortiClient Telemetry. |
| Solution |
During the initial phase of creating a new profile, EMS may take some time to push the profile to the endpoint due to telemetry sync delays, which can extend testing time.
Reducing telemetry sync time helps ensure the profile is delivered to the endpoint more quickly, minimizing wait times during testing.
By default, the telemetry sync interval is set to 60 seconds.
To change this, navigate to EMS Console -> System Settings -> EMS Settings -> Endpoint Settings -> Keep Alive interval.
After changing the keep alive interval, make sure to select Save to apply the new setting.
In the example below, the keep alive interval is configured to 20 seconds.
Reducing the keepalive interval allows the profile to be pushed to FortiClient more quickly, minimizing wait time.
Note: The keepalive interval must be set between 20 and 86,400 seconds, and the change applies to all endpoints connected to the EMS. It is recommended to revert the interval to 60 seconds or higher after testing, as lower values may impact server and network performance. |
