Description

This article describes that FortiClient can be deployed using Group Policy Objects (GPO) with Active Directory.

The procedure is documented in the FortiClient Administration Guide version 5.0 and above in the section Installation > Installing FortiClient using Active Directory Server.

Solution

To deploy FortiClient using Active Directory Server:

1)  Put the FortiClient MSI installation file into a shared folder.

2)  Open the Group Policy Object Editor.

3)  Select Computer Configuration.

4)  Select Software Settings.

5)  Right-click Software Installation, select New, and then select Package.

6)  Select the FortiClient MSI installation file and select Open.

7)  In Deploy Software, select Assigned.
