Technical Note: How to enable Video RTMP/RTMPT stream splitting

Description

If several browsers within the network are viewing live RTMP/RTMPT video content, the stream will be downloaded and cached once and distributed out to multiple users.  This feature is useful for corporate webcasts and other live broadcast events.

Scope

FortiCache OS 4.1 and above.

Solution

To enable using CLI

config firewall profile-protocol-options
 config rtmp
 set status enable
end

To enable using GUI

Policies & Objects > Policy > Proxy Options > Protocol Port Mapping > Enable RTMP

To check RTMP status in the CLI
