Description

This article describes how to skip, and avoid getting the error 'The operation is insecure' while adding FortiToken-400 to the end user account on FortiAuthenticator (FAC).

Scope FortiAuthenticator.
Solution

This error happens when FortiAuthenticator 'Device FQDN' is not the same as domain FQDN for it. By default, FortiAuthenticator 'Device FQDN' is: Not Configured:

After adjusting it to the same value as the DNS record, it is possible to successfully add a FIDO token to the account:
