Description This article describes how to diagnose an error that the FortiAuthenticator can generate when an administrator executes the Self Device Enrollment process in the self-service portal.
Scope FortiAuthenticator v6.6.x.
Solution

The administrator tries the Device Self-enrollment process:

  1. Enable legacy portal.
  2. Under Legacy Self-service portal -> Device Self-enrollment, enable the feature.
  3. Log in to the legacy portal with a regular user.
  4. Select 'Create New' for device enrollment

The FortiAuthenticator displays error 500 during the process.

The issue could be related to bug 1150154; the fix will be available in v6.6.7.
