Description This article describes the issue where the Smart Connect option for Android 10 is not visible. The issue is caused by the EAP Server Certificate not matching the FQDN of the FortiAuthenticator.

Solution

  1. Go to Authentication -> RADIUS Service -> General and check the EAP Server Certificate.
  2. Make sure the EAP Server Certificate (in the CN field of the certificate's subject or in the SAN fields) matches the FQDN of the FortiAuthenticator.

If the EAP Server Certificate does not match the FQDN of the FortiAuthenticator, regenerate the certificate with the correct FQDN.

 

Once the EAP Server Certificate is updated, Android 10 and later should appear in the Smart Connect profiles of type WPA2 Enterprise (i.e., EAP).
