Description

 

This article describes how to import guest users from a CSV file, as well as how to format CSV files to hold user data.

 

Scope

 

FortiAuthenticator 6.x

 

Solution

 

Navigate to Authentication -> User Management -> Guest Users -> Create New.

As the Description section explains, it is necessary to format the CSV file with first name, last name, email, mobile phone number and user group in that exact order.

Create the CSV file with all the necessary user information about users in the first column. In the above example, the column used is A.

After importing guest users from the CSV file, all users' information appears and the user group test_group is automatically created.

Tip:

To understand how to add other values, try creating a test user with the values that are required and then export the users. The resulting CSV file will provide a useful reference for how to format the relevant data. Add the new users with the same format as required.
