Description This article describes how to add a Vulnerability license configuration with an application and how the license schema works.
Scope FortiAppSec Cloud.
Solution

When an administrator configures VS settings, which means it consumes 1 VS license, and also shows below pop-up:

VS scan when creating.jpeg

The

VS license seat is bound to the unique APP ID. Deleting the VS setting or deleting the application will not release the VS license used by the application; one can not use the VS license for other applications.

Even admin re-onboards the same application can not use the VS license again, as the APP ID will change. If the admin wants to use VS settings, then the app requires 1 VS license.

It advises not to delete the application if the VS configuration is done with the application, once the VS license is used with the application.

It can not be recovered after deleting the application or re-onboarding the application.

Once the VS configuration is done, even if the admin did not run the scan, the VS license will be bound to the application.

There is no limitation to run the scan in a month; the VS license is yearly based, not monthly basis.
