Description This article describes a color issue with the FortiAnalyzer GUI after upgrading to v7.4.3, 7.4.5, 7.4.6.
Scope FortiAnalyzer v7.4.3 until 7.4.6.
Solution

After upgrading the FortiAnalyzer to 7.4.3, 7.4.5 or 7.4.6: the GUI shows a 'blue screen' after the user has logged in to the GUI.

  1. After the upgrade, the FortiAnalyzer GUI presents the login page.

  1. When the user credentials are entered, the login dialog goes away, leaving only the background image/color, by default a 'blue screen' with the Mariner theme background.

The color depends on the background of the theme assigned to user authenticating, i.e. 'green screen' to Jade theme.

  1. When trying to change the browser URL (such as using /ui/login as a workaround), the browser only shows a blank page.

The issue occurs with users using a custom profile (system admin profile). The user 'admin' with a 'Super_User' profile is not set up.

This issue was reported as Bug ID 1098690 and was fixed in 7.4.7 and v7.6.3.

Workaround:

  1. Clear the session_id of the user authenticated.

diagnose system admin-session list
diagnose system admin-session kill <session_id>

  1. Reboot FortiAnalyzer.
  1. Delete and recreate the custom profile and assign it to the user.
